Patent, is a legal assurance, which registers the rights of production, reproduction, use and sale of an invention meeting certain criteria to the owner of invention for a given period of time. The emergence of the `patent` concept, patent application and registration processes, protection and execution of patent rights are often analyzed from a legal perspective. However, scientific, technological, economical, occupational, social and moral implications of a patented invention create an `ethical` dimension beyond legal issues to the subject. All ethical problems cannot be solved through legal processes. Therefore, the action of a patent owner or any third-party, whose path crosses with a patented-invention, should be reviewed first by their own conscience and then by independent mechanisms from an ethical perspective.
