Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) is a three dimensional deformity. The main goal of treatment is correction of deformity in coronal and sagittal plane, to achieve painless and balanced spine while stand away from any possible complications. Despite selective fusion strategy being widely accepted as the instrumentation systems develop, the contraversy stil remains about selecting apropriate fusion levels. In this review, we summarize the literatüre about choosing selective fusion levels.
