Information in medicine is rapidly growing. Decision making in medicine should rely on quantitative data. Clinicians will experience difficulty in processing such an enormous data. Retrieving clinically important information from this big data requires a technology like artificial intelligence (AI). Although AI is widely used in many areas including medicine its use in surgical field is limited. There are experimental studies but none of them approved for clinical use. Although penetration of new technology in the surgical field takes long time studies on the use of AI in surgery will increase and will be used for the operating rooms (OR). Optimization of OR by AI would be better and quantifiable.
