Proximal humeral bone loss is a significant obstacle in terms of fixation in revision shoulder prosthesis. It is important to identify and classify the measurement of the humeral bone loss pre-operatively. There are several management options of proximal humeral bone loss in revision shoulder prosthesis; cemented long stem fixation, proximal humeral allograft or femoral strut allograft composite, proximal humeral or total humeral endoprosthesis are illustrated examples of the management methods depending of the extention and the degree of the bone loss. All of these management methods are proven to be viable reconstructive options and revealed good clinical outcomes in the literature.
