Classification of idiopathic scoliosis is of utmost importance in defining curvature by physicians, physiotherapists and orthotic technicians and designing the treatment plan. The King classification is one of the classifications and the simplest one; however it remains inadequate in many cases. Although the classification system which has been proposed by the Peking Union Medical College (PUMC) is simple and easy to understand, it is still not more advantageous for practical use according to Lenke system. Lenke classification system is the most widely used and accepted classification system. In this article, scoliosis classification systems were reviewed using original pictures from the literature.
