There are many studies about stem cell therapies in the literature, but most of them are experimental and just a few of them have clinical reflection. Stem cells are pluripotent cells. They have the ability to differentiate into various cells under various conditions and this makes up the major drawback for clinical trials. Many biomaterials with or without chondrocyte embedding have been used in treatment of chondral injuries. Although there are lots of experimental studies on this subject, there few examples used on patients.
