Surgical planning should be performed based on radiological assessment and classification of acetabular fractures. However, radiological assessment and classification is challenging due to the complex anatomical structure of the acetabulum. Judet-Letournel classification system, which is the most common method applied, including different types of fractures is required to well-known for the classification of acetabular fractures. According to the Judet-Letournel classification system, acetabular fractures are divided into two main groups depending on the injuries on a single main fracture line or multiple lines. Both have also five subgroups in each group. Judet-Letournel classification system has been adopted by the majority thanks to its easy-to-use and reliable nature. With the introduction of advanced imaging techniques particularly in recent years, twoand three-dimensional computed tomography is helpful for more practical, accurate and rapid assessment of acetabular fractures.
