Regenerative methods can be defined as the use of human-derived cells to improve the healing times and capabilities of tissues with relatively weak healing abilities such as articular cartilage, meniscus, tendon, and connective tissue. In recent years, there has been an increase in studies on these issues. Although the efficacy of platelet-rich plasma on lateral epicondylitis has been strongly demonstrated among these methods, conflicting results have been reported for other clinical applications. Comprehensive studies should be conducted for the widespread use of mesenchymal stem cells and platelet- rich plasma, as patient selection should be considered in applications.
