Hand and wrist injuries account for about 25% of all sports injuries. As a result of high physical activity, athletes often experience traumatic and degenerative injuries due to overuse. When athletes are evaluated for soft tissue injuries, problems are observed in the intercarpal ligaments, tendinous structures, and small joint capsule structures of the hand. Decisions on the proper treatment of hand and wrist injuries in elite athletes and the return to sports should be made taking into account the athlete`s expectations. Typically, the initial treatment involves non-surgical treatment approaches such as immobilisation, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, rest, and physiotherapy. Surgical treatment options are available for individuals who do not respond to conservative treatment. In these individuals, repetitive hand and wrist injuries can lead to decreased performance in the long term, making it especially important to implement personalized treatment methods.
