Orthopedic injuries including missed fractures and dislocations account for several malpractice claims in the emergency unit and orthopedic clinics. It has also been suggested that the majority of these malpractice claims are associated with the intensive and exhausted hours of physicians in clinical practice. It is considerably possible to prevent such mistakes by keeping those commonly missed injuries in mind and considering the possibility of the hidden part of the iceberg of the injuries on radiographs. In this review, the evaluation of the occult orthopedic injuries radiographically was summarized.
