Femoracetabular impingement is a cause of hip pain seen among young ages and became popular in the literature recently. The cause of the pain is mechanical and may come up primarily or a secondary to an underlying disease in adolescents. Mechanical impingement on the hip joint may give damage to labrum and cartilage, which may lead to hip osteoarthritis if untreated. In this article, femoracetabular impingement seen on adolescent and treatment modalities are mentioned.
