Distal ulna, ulnar styloid and sigmoid notch fractures are usually associated with distal radius fractures. Comminuted fractures of the distal ulna involving the articular surface may indicate a high-energy injury. Ulnar styloid and sigmoid notch fractures may lead to problems that progress to degenerative changes and instability in the distal radioulnar joint, if not treated appropriately. Therefore, fractures of this area should be carefully evaluated, imaging and treatment should be planned appropriately.
