Physeal injuries are very common in children, in growth age. Deformities may be seen after the growth zone fractures. Although the deformities develop in rare cases, they are considered important because they are predictable and preventable. The complications that may develop after fractures can be predicted by the commonly used Salter- Harris classification. The main pillar of the treatment is to give no additional damage to pyhsis while preventing deformity. Long-term follow-up is important to diagnose the developing deformities. A total physeal injury leads to growth arrest, and a partial arrest develops angular deformity. Early diagnosis of physeal arrest and treatment can minimize these deformities. Treatment choices for the complications are: epiphysiodesis, bar resection and observation.
