Elbow is the second most commonly dislocated joint following shoulder dislocations. Most of the elbow dislocations are simple dislocations that are not accompanied by fractures. Elbow ligaments are injured at various severity, rarely requiring surgical treatment. After the reduction of the dislocated joint, stability should be ensured with the help of clinical examination and radiological imaging. In the presence of instability, ligament repair or reconstruction should be planned. It is often not possible to return to sports in the early period. After providing joint stability, the athlete should be prepared for returning to sports with physiotherapy support.
