With increasing application of total knee replacement, despite technical developments and surgical experience; complication rates are gradually increasing. In addition to the proper application of the total knee replacement, it is also important to identify complications, and manage them appropriately. The range of complications after total knee replacement is also quite extensive from minor skin problems to mortal complications. In this review, intraoperative, early and late postoperative complications of total knee replacement will be classified, and the epidemiology of the complications will be evaluated. In addition, core knowledge will be given about the complications that will be evaluated with details in the rest of the journal.
